The Founders and Directors of KCIS are Deborah Isharaza and Rebecca Bandora. Originally from the UK and Tanzania respectively, both Deborah and Rebecca are passionate about the education of children and believe learning should be an enjoyable experience for all.

Deborah is the Director of Education at KCIS. She has spent more than 24 years working in education and adolescent health both in the UK and in Africa. Deborah is a qualified English teacher and holds an MSc Human Resource Management for International Development. She has taught in the UK, Australia, Uganda and Tanzania. She has also run her own successful child development programme in the UK. Her work in Uganda has seen her managing education and health programmes in more than 200 schools, as well training teachers and peer educators on curriculum content and non-formal education methods.

Rebecca is the Director of Business Operations at KCIS. She is an accomplished organisational development professional with more than 18 years experience in project leadership, finance management, recruitment, coaching, policies formulation and process/change facilitation. Rebecca holds an MBA in Human Resources and IT Management and has worked as Head of Human Resources for both small and large international companies. She has established a reputation as an excellent coach and mentor and KCIS greatly benefits from her expertise in team management, strategic planning and capacity building.

Deborah and Rebecca have a strong presence in the school and sit on the Senior Management Team with the Head of Learning to ensure the high standards set and the school culture are maintained. All of their primary aged children attend the school.
